We should have translated the Italian review (posted here) before booking: (Google-free translation): "In the past month in Australia we have never stayed in a hotel dirtier than this." Be skeptical of glowing reviews. The pictures and words of this Internet site did not match our firsthand experience. We did not stay the night; we walked away from this booking . As of this date, our credit card company is still trying to get our money back. Please learn from our error.

The surrounding Daintree Forest environment is absolutely fabulous, the best I have ever seen anywhere in the world. Walking outside in the morning was like being in a jungle fairyland, the lushness and variety of the vegetation, the height of the tree canopy. I wished we could have stayed longer, but had limited time.
The sign was hard to see at night, fortunately we closely followed the Daintree map
